so sweet!

Just wanted to put up a sweet picture of my sweet niece Peyton...or as I call her in this picture, Cookie Monster!
So...I get back from lunch today and have someone waiting here for me-its one of my favorite clients son's...she followed me over from John's office after he passed away and is such a sweetie...I open up the card and it says "thank you so much for always taking such good care of our family and caring so much about us, and congratulations on this new chapter in your life". I thought that was so sweet...well, then I see a gift card in there-to Bed, Bath and Beyond for $100!!! Oh my gosh, that was so sweet, I just dont feel like I deserve it-but I am so grateful for it. It was such a sweet gesture from a wonderful client. I love my clients!

my daddy

I have always been a "daddy's girl"...dont get me wrong, I LOVE my mom so much and she is one of my best friends...but in my heart there has always been a special place for my daddy. Most of the pictures of me when I was a little girl are of me and my dad. I admire him for the person that he is and the person he helped me to become. I cant imagine being the only male in a household of ALL females (seriously, even all of the pets were female) and ONE bathroom!! My dad was always there for us, through all of our adventures and all of our sporting events (even coaching all 3 of us girls at the same time).

I have been having a hard time lately since fathers day. My dad found a lump on or near his lymph node in his neck...this week has been a whirlwind of emotions and feelings...often brining up my memories of another man in my life who treated me like his daughter, my boss John who died 5 years ago of brain cancer. We dont know any news yet and wont know anything until Monday (HOPEFULLY). So my whole like 3 readers out there, can you please keep my daddy in your prayers...Ill update when we find anything out.

Things happen for a reason...

So, I found this awesome website http://www.ohsogirly.blogspot.com/ this woman makes amazing bows and they are really wonderfully priced...I right away thought of my precious niece Peyton (SUCH a girl) and found this awesome orange flower bow there that I thought would be great for the wedding (yeah, changed my colors to orange/black/yellow/pink) so I ordered it and a few more for Peyton-then my sister LOVED the bows too and we put in an order for like 20 more bows (I got a little blue one to wear on my wedding day for my "something blue"...anyway, I placed the order through my paypal and I forgot to change to my current address and so the bows went to my OLD OLD OLD address-the lady that got the bows out of curiousity opened up the package and then emailed Bridgette (oh so girly) and Bridgette got in contact with me, and long story short, Stacey went and picked up the bows-yay!!

ANYWAY, so Valerie (the woman who got the package) runs a discount craft website and has hooked up w/ Bridgette and they are doing a give-away!! I know not very many people read my blog but I thought I would post it here for anyone who is interested...

and here is a picture of my "something blue"

sweet deals!

so my sister Kelli called me the other day and told me she was at Big Lots and saw Martha Stewart wedding invitations for $2...yeah $2!! I was thinking "yeah, but they are probably ugly", but they are pretty cute, they are just plain white eyelet type invitations. I bought some orange ribbon and will make them really cute, it also comes with response cards and everything...I love being frugal!

and a picture just for the heck of it :)

new sites for the reception

SO...I am going up on the 30th, next weekend to visit the chapel and also to look at a few different sites for the reception.

my first choice (without looking at it first) is the Mission Mill Museum, its right across the street from Willamette University here is the website...
http://www.missionmill.com/

I think it would be a pretty place to take pictures...oh and Im so happy to say that my dear friend Holli True will be doing our photos-she is awesome!
www.hollitrue.com

the second place is a restaurant its a little cheaper than the museum, but I dont love it...
